ABOUT DON
More than ever, in a world full of stories of poverty, pandemics and war, we need moments full of beauty, peace and calm.

Objects, places and moments - whether made by people, nature, coincidence - that speak quietly of elegance, grace and imagination.
Replacing ego with companionship, competition with community, and bluster with contemplation.

Welcome to the art of objects; the objects of art.
Education:
I've been a practicing photographer for more than 10 years with a focus on shooting, processing and printing digital images. My love is monochrome photography.
I am also a photography mentor, judge, speaker and workshop leader; and Secretary, Pennant Hills Photographic Club, Sydney, Australia.
Awards & Nominations:
I have won numerous local awards for my monochrome images, and have had images published in a book on Aboriginal history.

Personal:
Born in rural Western Australia, I moved to Sydney in my early 20s. I am married with two adult daughters, have a PhD in political economy from The University of Sydney and have published a book on cities.
